Why people train here
Bristol has plenty of gyms that opened last year. This one opened in 1986 and has only ever been run by the family who own it.
The iron
Original MK1 plate-loaded machines from the golden era of bodybuilding, still maintained and in daily use, alongside a full free-weight floor and modern kit. Over 100 pieces across two floors, so you're not queuing at six in the evening. Cardio is newly upgraded, Stairmaster included.
The atmosphere
Walk into a building used for one purpose for forty years and you feel it before anyone speaks to you. A new build can buy newer machines. It can't buy four decades of people turning up at six in the morning.
The people
First-timers training next to people who are on stage in eight weeks, and nobody cares which you are. Nobody films their sets. Nobody sells you personal training you didn't come in for.
